    Quick Walk-Through the Downtown of Split As we wrote earlier Split is a small town, one day is enough to visit Diocletian palace and entire city center. Take a map of Split in one of the info tourist offices or at reception desk in most of the accommodations. On the map you will clearly see walls of Palace, Peristil square, Jupiter's temple, Saint Domnius cathedral, Prokurative... Don't forget to visit basement of Diocletian palace it is really refreshing in hot summer day to go inside.     Where to Park in Split Downtown

    "How to come and where to park ... and stay calm." Arriving by Car There are two entrances to city of Split and depends on your departure point which one will you use. If you are heading from Stobreč, Omiš, Makarska or any other place Souther than Split you will use South entrance to the city. At one point you should try to find a parking. It's not easy, especially during July and August. The best thing to do is to park at public parking whichusually cost from 3 to 7 kn per hour.     Changing of the emperor Diocletian’s guard

    June 1.– September 1. This most interesting scene can be witnessed every day within this period exactly at noon at the Peristil square. During the change of the guard appears emperor Diocletian himself alongside six of his soldiers. Emperor then welcomes the commoners and holds a commemorative speech, inviting guests to his palace, one of the seven UNESCO sites in Croatia. And you should definitely follow his advice, since all kinds of beautiful things await inside for you to discover them! After the sightseeing of the Palace, hop on board one of our boats to explore Šolta – beautiful island on which Diocletian had his summer residence.

    Days of Diocletian

    August 16. – August 19.
