Climb up to the Fortica fortress above the city and enter Hvar’s beautiful cathedral. Visit the Benedictine Monastery, where nuns have been making UNESCO-protected lace since 19th century.

    Stari Grad

    Pick up your bikes and head out for a memorable ride towards the prominent Stari Grad. Along the way, enjoy the scenery and landscapes that will make you stop for a moment and soak it all in. Enjoy the inclines and descents of the old road and take your time to admire the beauties of the island.

    When you reach your final destination, the charming town of Stari Grad, leave your bikes and go for a walk. Beside the must-see Stari Grad Plain, visit the Dominican Monastery. Inside you will find famous paintings by Venetian artist Tintoretto, the most important of which is “The Mourning of Christ.” Explore the Tvrdalj castle, home of the Croatian poet Petar Hektorović, author whose inspiring wall inscriptions from the Renaissance can still be found there.

    After all the sightseeing, head out to the agro-resort Pharos (which is named after the ancient name of Stari Grad), where your hosts will ensure you have a fantastic time. Dressed in togas, your hosts will serve wine from amphoras, which together with thrilling environment will ensure you have wonderful experience.

    Taste some exceptional domestic wines and delicious food. Also visit the donkey farm and a traditional Dalmatian house to learn about old fashioned ways of agricultural life. Take a guided tour of the wine cellar and learn about the process of wine production, perfected through the centuries.
